The 2017 Spring Training season is officially underway. Clearwater George Cretekos greeted the Philadelphia Phillies equipment truck yesterday, as he does every year, at Spectrum field(formerly Brighthouse Field) in Clearwater. The 50+ ft tractor trailer trucked thousands of pieces of equipment, including 1200 baseball bats, from Philly to Clearwater. The Phillies have made Clearwater their spring training home for 70 years. They will kick off the home schedule on February 25th against the NY Yankees.
